SEMESTER 2
Semester 2 was a roller coaster ride, but it was memorable and somewhat fun nonetheless. So many things all happening at once and you're trying to hold onto that single sanity left when overloaded with work. The friends I've made along the way has made the experience worth it, though.
After conducting online learning for a semester and a half, we finally had our second semester physically, face to face on campus. This semester marked my first time going to campus and second time going to Malaysia. Our first class face to face was fun and I'm glad everyone got along with everyone well in the end. This semester, I signed up for 3 core modules, which are ADII, Theories of Asian Architecture, and Building Materials and Construction.
Modules
ARC60205
ARC60704
BLD61604
In this module, students are introduced to the principles and methods of analysis, abstraction, and synthesis in design thinking that are common to many design fields, including building and architecture. Students are taught "user and context", which is the study of the relationship between user and their surrounding environment, as well as architectural spaces and construction.
In this module,
In this module, students are informed on the basic building construction and materials used in the construction of small to medium scaled buildings. It focuses on developing an understanding of the principle of the building elements. This module provides an in-depth look on construction materials such as concrete, timber, steel, etc.
