SEMESTER 3
August - December 2022
A picture of my model for final studio III submission.
Semester 3 of Architecture is by far the most difficult and most mentally and physically taxing semester for me. The semester started off smooth and slow, the first two weeks of it being discussions and formulating design ideas for project one. The pace gradually started to increase and suddenly the weeks had gone by until finals week arrived. Despite having went through some of the toughest days before submissions, I'm grateful that I didn't go through them alone.
In this semester, I took four modules. They are: Architectural Studio III, Computer Applications, Energy and Architecture, and Contemporary Design Theory as my elective of free choice.
Modules
ARC60604
ARC60804
ARC61904
This module introduce students to the world of computer generated 3D drawings. They are taught how to draw and render digitally on architectural software such as Revit and 3DS Max. Students are expected to complete 2 projects throughout the semester and generate 1 original drawing.
In Studio III, students are introduced to poetic and aesthetic spaces, where they further learned about modifying elements that builds the "poetic" feeling of a space, as well as incorporating other elements that were acquired from the previous studios. By the end of this course, students were to complete 3 projects.
This module provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how energy is used in buildings. It introduce principles and ways to achieve energy efficiency in environmental system operation, renewable energy technology and architectural design features. Students were expected to complete 2 projects.
