Project 1: Movie Poster
In Project 1, we were tasked to create a movie poster, which is a great medium to inspire interest and to create the very first impression of the film. It captures a glimpse and the essence of what the movie is about. Students used prior knowledge and skills acquired from activities performed in class.

The theme(s) I chose for my movie poster are dreamcore, neon-bright colors, and vaporwave aesthetics. I tried to show these themes through the drawings in my poster since my movie depicts the idea of "virtual reality".

As you can see from the close-up pictures, the elements I used in my movie poster are computers, clocks, fish, flowers, mushrooms and clouds.
The story follows a girl who wakes up in a computer-generated simulation of an environment where everything is 3-Dimensional, virtual replica of the real world. Though the idea of a virtual world may sound exciting and fantastical, danger lurks in every corner and she must escape it before her idea of the real world become distorted.
