Project 2: Structure & Body

In project 2, we created isolation models through our understanding of anthropometry and ergonomics, as well as exploration in construction details, joinery, materials, and structural quality.

For the second project, I derived the main element and principle from my first model in project 1, which were shape and hierarchy. As seen in my model, a long, square-structure sits in the middle space, symbolizing the hierarchy by placement.

Another emphasis on the hierarchy are the structures surrounding the middle structure.

Joinery Details

The emotions the user feel about this space is fear; since the space created by the middle structure is narrow, the user will feel trapped and restricted. Thus, the banal action is one that does not require much movement, which is standing (still).
